President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) Nasr Al-Hariri, sent a letter to Ali bin Hassan Al-Hammadi, Secretary-General of Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) in order to seek the necessary assistance to Syrian refugees with kidney failure in Jordan.
Al-Hariri said that the SOC received appeals from Syrian refugees in Jordan suffering from kidney and who have to undergo dialysis three times a week. He added that the SOC’s representative in Jordan, Tariq Abbas, contacted them and ascertained at their conditions, as he counted approximately 130 cases.
Al-Hariri indicated that the patients have appealed to international organizations to provide them with assistance, most importantly to continue covering the costs of dialysis operations which they cannot afford, especially after international organizations suspended funding these operations.
Al-Hariri called on QRCS to stand by the Syrian people in these difficult conditions as he offered thanks and best regards to the QRCS volunteers for their distinguished efforts made in relief and humanitarian work. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
