President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Nasr Al-Hariri, said that the SOC set up the National Dialogue Committee with the aim of strengthening dialogue with all components of the Syrian people and engage them in the efforts to reach a solution that puts and end to the suffering of the Syrian people and fulfills their aspirations for freedom and dignity.
In a televised speech on Monday, Al-Hariri said that the Committee will reach out to all components of the Syrian people “who believe in democratic change in Syria and who share commonalities with us.”
Al-Hariri stressed the importance of strengthening communication with all components of the Syrian people. He said: “We need to listen to each other and engage in dialogue in order to develop commonalities.”
He pointed out that the Committee has already started the dialogue process and it will achieve important results shortly that might be reflected in the SOC’s structure.
The Committee is preparing to hold its first consultative meeting next Friday, Al-Hariri said, adding that members of the Committee have already begun reaching out to influential national figures and coordinating with them to hold this meeting.
He also stressed the need to study all suggestions and ideals that may benefit the revolution, discuss the challenges facing the Syrian revolution in the next phase, and prepare to reach the best results that are in the interest of Syria and its people. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
