The Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) condemned the new crime that the PYD militia committed on Sunday by shelling the village of Kuwait al-Rahma near Afrin in rural Aleppo, which shelters displaced people. The shelling killed a civilian and injured many others.
On a press release issued on Sunday, the SOC said that the PYD terrorist militia continues with its aggressive, criminal acts, which confirms that it is a replica of the Assad regime as both of them seek to kill civilians, cause chaos in the liberated areas, and worsen the humanitarian tragedy.
“The shelling of this residential compound makes it clear that the PYD militia’s goal is to kill and injure the as many civilians as possible in this overcrowded area.”
The SOC called on the Syrian National Army to raise its combat readiness and prepare well to confront this militia and deter it from targeting more civilians.
The SOC denounced the international silence on the atrocious crimes and terrorist acts that this terrorist militia is committing against civilians. We stress the need to lift any cover off this group and confront it in order to eliminate its constant danger that threatens civilians.
