Coordinator of the Syrian Opposition Coalition’s (SOC) office in the liberated areas, Najeeb Rahmoun, said that even though the Russian aggression against Syria has reached its seventh year, the Syrian people are still committed to the revolution and their rights. He stressed that the Syrian people will not give up until the criminal Assad regime is overthrown and all the invaders are forced out of the country, especially the Russian occupation forces.
SOC’s member Muhammad Ali Issa stressed that after seven years have passed since the Russian aggression against Syria and its people began. He said that Russia has not only failed to extinguish the flame of freedom in the hearts of the Syrian people, but also proved the greatness, strength, steadfastness and determination of this people to free themselves from the yoke of terrorism, tyranny, and dependency.
Meanwhile, SOC’s member Muhammad Wajih Jumaa pointed out that Russia committed thousands of massacres in Syria, and for years it has disrupted Security Council resolutions to hold the Assad regime accountable for its crimes. He pointed out that the inaction of the international community encouraged Russia to persist in its tyranny, as it is now waging a brutal war on Ukraine and practices international terrorism once again.
SOC’s member, Ayman Al-Asimi, said that the lesson that the Russian occupiers received from the Ukrainian people and before it from the Syrian people confirms that the will of freedom of the peoples is invincible and can defeat the ambitions of the occupiers.
SOC’s member, Basil Al-Ghunaim, said that since the start of the Russian aggression in Syria, the Putin regime has not committed to any ceasefire agreement as its mission was to support the regime’s military attacks and obstruct the political process in Syria.
