The Syrian Opposition Coalition’s (SOC) Al-Jazira and Euphrates Committee presented its work report to the General Assembly at its 61st regular session.
Coordinator of the Committee Abdelbaset Abdullatif said that the Committee held seven meetings in the past two months and completed its action plan and profiles.
Abdullatif spoke about the tour that the Committee carried out with the SOC’s president to the areas of Ras al-Ayn and Tal Abyad east of the Euphrates, where they checked up on the living conditions in these regions.
He pointed out that the Committee prepared papers on the needs of the population as well as projects to be submitted to donors.
Abdullatif indicated that the Committee is communicating with international sides to highlight the dire humanitarian conditions in the region, lift the siege imposed on it, and secure all its needs, especially with regard to the areas of humanitarian aid and education.
