Member of the Syrian Opposition Coalition’s (SOC) Civil Society Organizations Committee Kifah Murad presented a report on the Committee’s work in the last period to the SOC’s General Assembly during its 58th regular session.
Murad gave an overview on the meetings that the Committee held with Syrian civil society organizations and other activities through which the Committee is seeking to get the best benefit from the work of these organizations.
Murad stressed that these activities are part of the general plan of the SOC’s Civil Society Organizations Committee to find legal solutions that facilitate and organize the work of Syrian organizations in the liberated areas and alleviate the suffering of the Syrian people there and in the host countries.
Murad put forth a set of recommendations to the General Assembly, most notably working to find mechanisms to facilitate obtaining licenses for organizations that intend to work in northern Syria. They also include continuing to hold workshops under the supervision of the SOC with the aim of further consultation. cooperation and coordination.
She also stressed the need to secure the appropriate environment for the work of organizations interested in training and awareness raising in the liberated areas, and to help secure support for volunteer teams and small emerging organizations through communication with donors.
