Coordinator of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) Department of Refugee Affairs, Adnan Rahmoun, presented a work report to the General Assembly at its 58th regular session. The report detailed the Department’s activities and work during the last two months.
Rahmoun pointed out that the Department follows up on the issues of Syrian refugees in the host countries, especially in Lebanon and Libya. He said that the Department has prepared two detailed reports on the major issues Syrian refugees are grappling with in Lebanon and Libya.
Rahmoun stressed that there are attempts to forcibly return Syrian refugees, noting that the Department submitted periodic reports to the SOC to follow up on issues related to forced returns to follow up and try to prevent them.
He pointed to the many success stories of Syrian refugees in the host countries, stressing that the Department follows all news and issues related to the legal, social and humanitarian situation of Syrian refugees.
