President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Nasr Al-Hariri, visited the civil police, military police and the local council in the town of Ras al-Ayn in rural al-Hasaka to ascertain the progress of work in these institutions and the services being provided to the population.
Al-Hariri was accompanied by Vice-president Ruba Habboush, Secretary General Abdelbaset Abdullatif, Secretary of the political committee Riyad Al-Hassan, and SOC’s members Bahjat Atassi, Yasser Al-Farhan, Adnan Rahmoun, Muhammad Qaddah and Ahmed Tomeh.
They discussed the security situation in the town as well as the need to improve security and stability. The SOC’s delegation was briefed on the security situation in the region and the efforts to improve security and fend off terrorist operations.
The two sides also discussed the issue of the people who were displaced from the town as they stressed the need to ensure the return of the displaced to their lands and homes.
Al-Hariri praised the efforts of the Syrian National Army and police forces and the sacrifices they are making to confront terrorist operations being carried out by the Assad regime and the PKK terrorist organization.
Al-Hariri stressed the importance of developing administrative work, improving basic services, and meeting the needs of the population. He stressed the need to rehabilitate the infrastructure in the town as well as schools, hospitals and bakeries. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
