A delegation from the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) visited offices of the Syrian Interim Government and the local council in the town of Azaz in rural Aleppo as part of the meetings that the SOC’s President Salem al-Meslet began on Monday.
The delegation comprised members of the SOC’s political committee, Abdel Basset Abdel Latif, Bahjat Al Atassi and Muhammad Qaddah, and coordinator of the SOC’s office in the liberated areas Najib Rahmoun.
The delegation visited the ministries of finance and economy, justice, and education and higher education.
The delegation also met with the representative of the Azaz local council Ibrahim Derbala, and toured the council’s offices to check on the progress of work. The delegation listened to the major challenges and difficulties that stand in the way of developing and improving work.
The delegation also visited the leadership of the Third Corps in the Syrian National Army, and met the commander of the Corps, Hussam Yassin. They stressed the important role of the Syrian National Army in maintaining the security and stability of the liberated areas.
