A delegation from the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), headed by Secretary-General Haitham Rahma, visited the headquarters of the Revolutionaries Movement. The Movement comprises the armed opposition groups of Faylaq al-Sham, Sultan Murad, the First and Ninth Divisions, and Suqur al-Shamal.
The delegation comprised members of the SOC’s political committee Bader Jamous, Bahjat Atassi and Muhammad Qaddah, as well as member of the General Assembly Ahmed Al-Shehadi.
The delegation stressed the importance of organizing and intensifying efforts to establish a military organization that would control security and form a military force to defend the liberated areas.
The two sides talked about the work of the Committee for the Restitution of Rights and the tasks it carried out in the previous period. They pointed to the intensification of efforts in the coming period to return all rights to their owners, while they discussed ways to improve security in the liberated areas in northwestern Syria.
The two sides stressed the need for further coordination in order to unify the military formations in the liberated areas. They also stressed the importance of raising the combat readiness of the Syrian National Army groups and prepare for any possible battle against the Assad regime or terrorist militias.
