A delegation from the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), headed by President Salem Al-Meslet, visited the leadership of the Liberation and Construction Movement in Jinderes district in Afrin region in rural Aleppo. The two sides discussed the field and military situations as well as ways to unify political and military efforts.
The SOC’s delegation comprised members of the SOC’s political committee and General Assembly Badr Jamous, Abdulelah Al-Fahd, Muhammad Qaddah, Bahjat Al-Atassi, and Ahmed Al-Shehadi.
Al-Meslet welcomed the new formation as he considered it an important step in the right direction, expressing his hope that all the armed opposition groups will join the Syrian National Army so as to fight under one banner and one leadership.
Al-Meslet stressed the importance of unifying the efforts of all military formations and strengthening unity, pointing out that there are commonalities and principles that everyone agrees on and for which the Syrian people are making tremendous sacrifices to regain freedom and dignity.
For his part, Colonel Hussein Hammadi, Commander of the Liberation and Construction Movement, expressed his appreciation for the efforts that the SOC is making at the internal and external levels.
