The office of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) in the liberated areas presented a report on its recent activities to the political committee on Thursday. The report highlighted the key initiatives carried out by the office and its affiliated institutions under the Syrian Interim Government.
Najeeb Rahmoun, the office coordinator, provided an overview of the significant activities focused on serving the people in the liberated regions. This included the opening of a new office for the Doctors Syndicate in Aleppo, located in the town of Azaz in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
Rahmoun also discussed the office’s involvement in commemorating the tenth anniversary of the Ghouta Massacre, which was marked during an event held at the Free University of Aleppo in Azaz.
Furthermore, Rahmoun highlighted a cultural symposium titled “The Economic Strategy of the Ministry of Finance in the Syrian Interim Government in the liberated territories,” organized by revolutionary and civil bodies in collaboration with the local council in Jarabulus and its surroundings.
Rahmoun mentioned the visit by the American-Syrian Global Justice organization to the SOC’s office and noted a delegation from the US Congress visited the liberated areas. During their visit, they held meetings with members of the SOC, the interim government, and the Syrian Negotiations Commission.
The report provided details on various centers established in the liberated areas over the past month, including the Yunus Emre Center for Psychological and Social Development in the towns of Azaz and Jarabulus, the graduation of students from the Abi Al-Fida Institute for Sharia Studies in Azaz, and the extraordinary conference of the Free Lawyers Syndicate in Azaz.
