The Syrian Opposition Coalition’s (SOC) political committee convened a regular meeting and discussed the latest developments on the ground and in the political process, with the attendance including SOC’s President Nasr Al-Hariri.
Participants discussed suggestions and ways to strengthen communication and coordination with the administration of US President Joe Biden in order to secure support for the political process and reaching a political solution in line with the Geneva Communique of 2012 and UN Resolutions 2118 and 2254; ensure constant delivery of humanitarian aid to those in need across Syria; and ensure support for local governance.
Members of the committee also discussed the PYD militia’s crimes and violations in Al-Hasakah province, as they condemned the detention of teachers who reject the educational curricula imposed by the PYD militia and called for an end to support for the PYD militia and the withdrawal of all PKK-affiliated terrorist organization members from Syria.
They also stressed the need to develop an inclusive project and the importance of dialogue and the promotion of the participation of all components, currents and political parties.
They also discussed the results of the work of the Committee of National Dialogue regarding the holding of the third national consultative meeting, Coordinator and members of the committee emphasized their keenness to ensure the participation of the various spectrums of the Syrian people.
