The Syrian Opposition Coalition’s (SOC) political committee on Monday held its periodic meeting with the chairmanship of Vice-president Oqab Yahya to discuss the latest on the ground and political developments.
Members of the committee discussed with the legal office the issuance of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, as Vice-president Abdul Hakim Bashar talked about the Iranian intervention in Syria and its negative effects on the political and military levels, as well as the social level.
SOC’s member and Coordinator of the Refugee Office, Adnan Al-Rahmoun, submitted a report on the conditions of the IDP camps, highlighting the needs of the IDP and the situation of Syrian refugees in Lebanon and the difficult conditions in which they live.
The committee also discussed the reports by the SOC’s departments, offices and committees, including the report of the Unions Office, the Al-Jazirah and Euphrates Committee, and the National Dialogue Committee. It also discussed preparations for the fifth round of the talks by the Constitutional Committee due to begin on January 25th. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
