The political committee of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) will hold its regular meeting on Thursday, featuring representatives from Syrian civil society organizations across various sectors, including rule of law, governance, economy, education, health, and infrastructure.
Organized by the SOC’s working group for civil society organizations, the meeting aims to present and discuss the outcomes of the workshop titled “The Joint National Plan for the Advancement of Northern Syria – Integration of Roles,” held in Gaziantep, Türkiye, last February.
Naziha Akdeniz, Coordinator of the Syrian Civil Society Organizations Working Group, emphasized the importance of following up on the workshop’s outcomes to develop an integrated plan between the SOC and civil society organizations operating in the liberated areas.
She highlighted that enhanced cooperation and coordination in civil work would significantly improve services and address the needs of the population, especially in light of the ongoing decline in budgets for humanitarian and relief support programs in Syria.
