Coordinator of the Syrian Opposition Coalition’s (SOC) Office of Syndicates and Unions, Abdul Majeed Barakat, gave a briefing to the political committee about the Office’s work, highlighting the Office’s activities and plan of action as well as the activities of the Syrian National Olympic Committee in the liberated areas.
Barakat said that the Olympic Committee is working to build sports staff comprising coaches, referees and athletes in various sports, noting that the Committee has offered training courses and lectures to a large number of trainees.
Barakat talked about the plans to build a professional sports base and to prepare staff and academics at the level of various sports in the liberated areas.
He also talked about the communications with sports unions in the liberated areas and a associations active in unions and public affairs. He highlighted the needs of those unions as he stressed the need to support them to implement their plans and activities. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
