The President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Salem Al-Meslet, recently met with the French Ambassador to Qatar, Jean-Baptiste Faivre, at the Syrian Embassy in Doha to discuss the latest developments in Syria’s field and political situation.
During the meeting, Al-Meslet emphasized the importance of adhering to the UN Security Council resolutions on Syria, particularly the Geneva Communique of 2012 and UN Resolutions 2118 and 2254, and stressed the need for legal action to hold the criminal regime accountable.
Al-Meslet also expressed his gratitude for France’s recent efforts in seeking to prosecute the regime’s senior criminals Ali Mamlouk, Jamil Hassan, and Abdel Salam Mahmoud. The French judiciary has issued an order to prosecute these individuals for their involvement in the killing of Mazen Dabbagh and his son Patrick, who were arrested in 2013 at Mezzeh Airport near Damascus by the regime’s Air Force Intelligence.
