President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition, Nasr Al-Hariri, met the French ambassador to Turkey, Herve Magro, at the French embassy in the Turkish capital, Ankara. The meeting is part of the SOC’s efforts to strengthen bilateral relations with friendly states and mobilize international support for the Syrian revolution.
Al-Hariri was accompanied by Vice-president Ruba Habboush and member of the political committee, Muhammad Sallo. The two sides discussed the latest political and on the ground developments as well as the situation in the liberated areas.
They also discussed the health situation in Syria, especially the prevention measures being taken by the Syrian Interim Government to stem coronavirus, and the regime’s failure to contain the pandemic.
The two sides also discussed the latest developments in the political process, especially the preparations for the third round of talks by the Constitutional Committee due to be held in Geneva next Monday. They stressed the importance of coming up with tangible results, especially with regard to discussion of the constitutional provisions. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
