President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Nasr Al-Hariri, met the administrative board of the Afrin branch of Gaziantep University in rural Aleppo where he was briefed on their major problems and needs.
Al-Hariri stressed the need to provide education for all students in the liberated areas, stressing the importance of building a new generation of educated youth capable of building a free, democratic Syria.
He also stressed that education represents a lifeline for the Syrian people as it will help them overcome the difficult conditions the country is going through.
Moreover, he lauded the important participation of students in the Syrian revolution and their role in its continuation as well as in promoting its principles and goals of freedom, dignity, and democracy.
Al-Hariri called on members of the administrative board to engage with the SOC’s departments and institutions and to participate in meetings and workshops taking place in the liberated areas.
