President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition, Salem Al-Meslet, participated in a symposium held by the Stabilization Support Unit in the town of Azaz in rural Aleppo under the title “local community in the political process.”
In attendance were also SOC’s members Ahmed Ramadan, Yasser Al-Farhan, Asaad Allito, Atef Zureik, Ahmed Shehadi and Firas Al-Masri, representatives of the Free Aleppo Provincial Council, local councils, civil bodies, syndicates, community leaders, and political activists.
Al-Meslet spoke about the importance of effectively managing the liberated areas by enabling the Syrian Interim Government to improve the services provided to citizens.
He gave an overview on the latest developments in the political process, the SOC’s efforts in this regard, its future plans, and its vision for the formation of the transitional governing body and the transitional period in line with UN international resolutions.
Al-Meslet stressed the need to work hand in hand to help fulfill the demands of the Syrian people for freedom, dignity and democracy.
