Representative of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) in the Turkish province of Mersin, Fadi Ibrahim, received Head of the Migration Management in the province Hüseyin Kemal and discussed with him the conditions of Syrian refugees and the need to resolve the problems they are facing.
Ibrahim said that Kemal informed them that the representative office was included in the committee formed by the governor of Mersin to look into the situation of Syrian refugees in the province.”
The two sides reviewed the role and work of the SOC’s representative office in Mersin and discussed the consequences of the fatal attack on Syrian refugee Muhammad Hasriya and the need to hold the perpetrator accountable.
The two sides also discussed the situation of services and humanitarian issues of interest to the Syrian refugees in the state, including the issue of the Syrian livestock keepers in Mersin which was referred by the Syrian-Turkish Joint Committee. The two sides pointed to the need to incorporate the livestock keepers into the chamber of livestock in the province.
For his part, Head of Migration Management promised to visit the livestock keepers in coordination with the governor to find appropriate solutions for them. They also touched on the daily problems facing the Syrian refugees in Mersin. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
