The representative of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) in France, Noureddine Al-Labbad, has made urgent contact with the Middle East Department at the French Foreign Ministry regarding the provision of humanitarian aid for earthquake victims in northwestern Syria.
Al-Labbad highlighted the dire humanitarian situation in northwestern Syria after the earthquake, especially in light of the shortage of equipment and the presence of thousands trapped under rubble. He called for urgent support for those affected by the earthquake and emphasized that the Assad regime is blocking aid from reaching the liberated areas.
He urged the French government to intervene urgently and coordinate with the European Union to provide aid in these difficult circumstances. The Middle East Department at the French Foreign Ministry stressed President Emmanuel Macron’s interest in the issue and called for active collaboration with non-governmental organizations to address this crisis.
