Members of the Syrian Opposition Coalition’s (SOC) political committee and General Assembly held a virtual meeting with SOC’s representatives in the Constitutional Committee who are currently participating in the seventh session in Geneva.
The SOC’s Representatives gave an overview on the course of the seventh session and the papers presented by the three delegations during the first three days of the session.
They also spoke about the Assad regime’s continued refusal to engage in the essence of the work of the Constitutional Committee and its attempts to disrupt it. They stressed that there is nothing new, and that the results of this session are similar to its predecessors.
Moreover, they reviewed the results of the meetings held by the delegation of the Syrian Negotiation Commission in Geneva with international missions. The European Union and United States missions reaffirmed their stances on Syria as they stressed the need to extend the UN resolution on the cross-border delivery of humanitarian aid.
