Secretary-General of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Abdelbaset Abdullatif, received researcher at the Clingendael Netherlands Institute of International Relations, Rena Netjes, and discussed with her the latest developments in Syria.
Abdullatif talked about the situation east of the Euphrates River and the crimes being committed by the PYD militia against people of the region, stressing the need to rid the population of the militias associated with non-Syrian terrorist organizations.
Abdullatif also highlighted the displacement movements and the IDP camps in northern Syria, especially the unofficial camps. He handed the Dutch researcher an interactive study on the population numbers, the internal displacement and return movements in those camps. The study was prepared by the SOC’s Assistance Coordination Unit in October 2020. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
