Secretary-General of the Syrian Opposition Coalition’s (SOC), Abdelbaset Abdullatif, received a delegation from the Al-Bayt Al-Furati Conglomerate and discussed with them the situation in the eastern region and the conditions of its people living in Turkey. The meeting came as part of efforts to strengthen relations with popular actors and civil society organizations.
The delegation gave an overview on the problems the people of the eastern region are facing in Turkey, as they discussed the goals of the Conglomerate, its vision, and plan of action to meet those needs.
Participants also discussed the services that the Conglomerate will provide on the humanitarian, social and service levels, as they stressed the importance of facing challenges and continuing to work in order to achieve the goals of the Conglomerate.
Abdullatif Latif praised the idea behind the formation of the Conglomerate and its importance, expressing the SOC’s support for the Conglomerate and pointing to a set of principles that the Conglomerate must commit to in order to ensure its continuation and success.
The Istanbul-based Conglomerate comprises people from Deir Ezzor in an attempt to serve the people of the province in Turkey in coordination and cooperation with the community actors and the SOC. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
