Secretary-General of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Haitham Rahma, welcomed the return of fraternal relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Turkey. He stressed that strengthening relations between the two sisterly states serves stability and peace in the region, and that the strong relations between the friends of the Syrian people will benefit their struggle against the Assad regime.
Rahma stressed that the change in international conditions and the crystallization of destructive, subversive projects that target regional security and stability makes it imperative for all people of the region to come together and unify in order to confront these projects, chief among them is the Iranian project.
Rahma pointed out that the region has recently witnessed a dangerous escalation by the Iranian project by targeting the sisterly states of the UAE and stepping up attacks on Saudi Arabia through the malicious arms of the Iranian regime in Yemen. He made it clear that rapprochement between countries of the region will enhance regional peace and stability.
Rahma stressed that strengthening fraternal relations between the Arab countries and Turkey will serve the interest of the peoples of the region and bring prosperity and stability. Rapprochement will also serve the interests of the Syrian people as well as their demands and struggle to get rid of the Assad regime and transition Syria to a state that integrate into its surroundings, supports regional stability, and cooperates with its neighbors for a better future for all.
