Secretary-General of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Abdelbaset Abdullatif, visited the office of the Assistance Coordination Unit (ACU) in Gaziantep and met with its director, Muhammad Hasanou, and the administrative staff.
Abdullatif was briefed on the Unit’s activities, including the periodic reports on the Covid-19 pandemic and the Unit’s efforts to confront the pandemic in the liberated areas, especially with the recent surge in infections and the rising deaths.
He also checked up on the development projects that the Unit has launched with the aim of supporting our people and boosting the economy across the liberated areas. He was briefed on progress in the agricultural empowerment project in northwestern Syria as well as the major challenges facing the Unit. They discussed ways to overcome these obstacles and challenges.
Abdullatif also visited the SOC’s office in Gaziantep where he met with the SOC’s representative in the province, Muhammad al-Shamali and his staff. The two sides talked about the services being provided to Syrian refugees in the province, and the efforts to help resolve the issues facing Syrian refugees, especially through communicating with the governor and the director of migration in Gaziantep.
