Vice President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Abdul Hakim Bashar, held an online meeting with the Presidency of the Kurdish National Council and the Council’s External Relations Department. They discussed the SOC’s efforts to achieve security and stability in all liberated areas and to bolster the judiciary’s authority to deter abuses and violations.
The two sides reviewed the agreements reached between the SOC and the Kurdish National Council in their previous meeting, emphasizing the significance of such engagements to foster cooperation and participation in resolving outstanding issues.
The Presidency of the Kurdish National Council provided an overview of its recent activities, including the establishment of various offices and committees, as well as the outcomes of meetings with numerous local councils.
Emphasizing the need for tangible results from the SOC’s directives in liberated areas, the Council’s Presidency viewed this as crucial for establishing an administrative model applicable across all Syrian regions.
Meanwhile, SOC’s Vice President, Abdul Hakim Bashar, reiterated the SOC’s commitment to empower the Syrian Interim Government and its institutions, enhance judicial independence, improve the economic and service landscape, and facilitate the return of displaced individuals to areas such as Afrin, Ras al-Ayn, Tal Abyad, and other liberated regions.
