The Syrian Opposition Coalition’s (SOC) Youth Office in the town of Azaz in rural Aleppo held a meeting with the ‘Abdul Qadir al-Saleh’ Student Volunteer Team under the supervision of Vice-president and Coordinator of the Office, Ruba Habboush.
The meeting brought together members of the Team Sidra Dahrouj, Sundus Akrez, Ibrahim Hammash, Abdul Hadi Yassin.
The meeting began with the Office giving an overview on its activities as it stressed the importance of active political engagement of the youth in order to build a better future for Syria.
For their part, the Team gave an overview on their goals and mission, stressing the need for continued communication between the institutions of the revolution and its social base.
The Team expressed its desire to participate in workshops and meetings on the political process and other SOC’s activities in order to raise political awareness, especially among students and the youth.
Participants stressed the need of holding more meetings between the SOC’s institutions and voluntary teams, associations and groups so as to ensure a free, dignified future for the Syrian youth. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
