The Syrian Opposition Coalition’s (SOC) Youth Office held its periodic meeting with the chairmanship of Vice-president and Coordinator of the Youth Office, Ruba Habboush, to discuss the Office’s activity and plan of action for the next phase as well as assess the Office’s work in the past period.
The Office reviewed the work of the Office since its formation as they put forward several proposals to develop the work of the Office and establish new mechanisms for communication and openness to youth and youth bodies.
Habboush stressed the importance of opening up to student and youth groupings and associations in the liberated areas and host countries by setting up programs that suit young people; help them develop their skills; and increase their political awareness about the political process and its details.
Habboush stressed that the strength of the Office’s work lies in its presence in the liberated areas, which allows it to reach out to a large number of young people. She also pointed to the need to invest this youth’s potential and make use of it in the service of the Syrian people and achieving the goals of the Syrian revolution. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
