The Syrian Coalition said that the Assad regime exploits the truce to complete the encirclement of Aleppo, warning that Assad regime’s actions are designed to thwart the negotiations.
During a meeting between a delegation of the Coalition headed by President Anas al-Abdah and representatives of the provincial councils in Syria, President Abdah outlined the Coalition’s plan of action for the next phase. He said that the plan is aimed mainly at reaching out to the revolutionary bodies inside Syria and boosting the relationship with provincial councils and giving them a greater role in the management of liberated areas.
The meeting also discussed the latest field and political developments, the “cessation of hostilities” agreement, the Geneva talks, the humanitarian situation in the liberated areas and the state of the interim government and the provincial councils as well as the difficulties they face.
In yet another violation of the truce agreement, regime forces earlier today attacked the Free Syrian Army positions near Handarat camp in northern Aleppo in an attempt to cut off the Castillo road, the last supply route into the liberated parts of Aleppo.
The Coalition will also meet with revolutionary bodies and institutions as well as civil society organizations. A Coalition delegation met with representatives of Assistance Coordination Unit (ACU) and the interim government in the Turkish city of Gaziantep yesterday. (Source: Syrian Coalition)
