The Syrian Coalition calls on the UN Security Council to take “firm and effective” action to stop the Russian aggression on the Syrian people following the horrible massacre committed by the Russian air force yesterday in rural Latakia where 80 people were killed.
Nearly 51 civilians were killed in Russian airstrikes on the village of Bashirfeh yesterday, while causalities were reported in another airstrike that hit an underground shelter housing women and children in the village of Rabia.
The number of victims of a Russian airstrike on the town of Bouz al-Khirba on Monday rose to 39 after civil defense teams recovered 25 bodies, mostly of women and children.
Member of the political committee Nasr al-Hariri states that these massacres “should not go unpunished, calling for an end to the Russian aggression that falsely claims it is designed to fight terrorism.
Hariri stresses the need to establish a safe area to protect Syrian civilians, expressing surprise at statements by some friendly countries who does not see a need for a safe area and consider that it does not constitute a practical solution to the crisis. (Source: Syrian Coalition)
