The Syrian Coalition condemned the Israeli occupation’s incursion into Syrian territory in the liberated part of the Golan Heights, stressing that that this act represented a breach of international laws and conventions.
The Coalition called upon the UN Security Council to shoulder its responsibility toward these violations and take the necessary measures to put an end to the Israeli occupation’s violation of Syrian territorial sovereignty.
The Coalition held the Assad regime and its allied militias; in particular the Hezbollah militia, responsible for the chaos in Syria and the region as their policies have opened Syria’s doors wide for the Israeli occupation’s violations and the spread of terror.
The Coalition did not rule out the possibility that there might be coordination between the Israeli occupation and the Assad regime on the regime’s bombing of the demilitarized zones in the Golan area. It added that the Assad regime’s deployment of heavy weapons to the area was not met by any criticism from the United Nations.
The Coalition renewed rejection of the Israeli occupation, stressing the need for the implementation of the UN and Security Council resolutions 242 and 497. It reaffirmed commitment to the liberation of all occupied Arab territories, particularly the occupied Golan Heights. (Source: Syrian Coalition)
