In its ongoing push to reach out to the civil, revolutionary and military institutions inside Syria and in a bit to enhance cooperation with these institutions, the Syrian Coalition’s political committee earlier today held a teleconference with Dara’a provincial council.
The committee members listened to an overview of the situation in Dara’a province by head of Dara’a provincial council Yakoub al-Ammar. Ammar briefed the committee members on living conditions in rebel-held areas, especially in the areas of relief, education and health.
The Coalition called upon the council to help the FSA groups join forces and close ranks in the face of the Assad regime and ISIS-affiliated militias in the province. The Coalition commended the council’s efforts in the areas of humanitarian aid and services as well as its managing public affairs in the province, especially the courthouse which plays an important role in the province.
The Coalition presented an overview of the most important political developments recently, especially the ongoing negotiations in Geneva. The Coalition outlined its vision for the transitional period in Syria stressing that its vision is based on building a state of freedom, justice and dignity for all Syrians.
