The Syrian Women’s Authority of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) honored Ms. Raneem Al-Hussein for achieving first place in the Faculty of Agriculture at Harran University in Şanlıurfa, Türkiye, on the sidelines of the Syrian Women’s meeting held this June.
Al-Hussein hails from the Syrian city of Raqqa and she is a mother of four children. She managed to secure the top position in the livestock branch of the Agricultural Engineering Department at Harran University.
The Syrian Women’s Authority held working meetings on the 7th and 8th of June in the Turkish city of Şanlıurfa, in partnership with the Stabilization Support Unit. The meeting was part of the Authority’s efforts to expand Syrian women’s participation in public affairs and political work.
The meeting was attended by coordinators of working groups from the SOC’s unions and associations, the Jazira and Euphrates Committee, the Legal Committee, the Refugees and Displaced Persons Working Group, and the Civil Society Organizations Working Group.
