Nora Al-Ameer, member of the political committee, attended the showing of a film entitled “Wartime Children” in Istanbul. The film sheds light on the plight of Syrian children ravaged by Assad’s war machine, while attendees listened to testimonies of Syrian children who survived Assad’s bombing of but suffered bodily injuries and lost many of their family members. The film’s director Tulay Gokhiman talked about the film and the circumstances during which it was made, followed by a speech delivered by deputy head of Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH), sponsor of the event. In recognition of the efforts of director Gokhiman, Al Ameer awarded her a token of gratitude on behalf of the Syrian people and the Syrian Coalition for the film, the third one on Syrian children. Gokhiman’s previous two films were about female detainees in Assad’s prisons and the lives of refugees and displaced people in the border areas. She also contributed to the support of the Syrians living in Istanbul and the border towns. (Source: Syrian Coalition)
