Attacks by the Assad regime and Russian forces continue in the liberated areas, as airstrikes in fewer than 24 hours resulted in the deaths of civilians and injuries to five others, including two children and a woman. The attacks directly targeted a drinking water pumping station on the outskirts of the village of Arri in western Idlib on Tuesday.
The Syrian Civil Defense reported that three civilians, including a child, were injured due to artillery shelling by the Assad regime and Russian forces targeting the town of Ihsim in Jabal Al-Zawiya, south of Idlib. Similar shelling also occurred in the town of Kansafra, the outskirts of the town of Balyoun, and the town of Abzimo in the western countryside of Aleppo, resulting in no casualties.
Furthermore, another civilian was seriously wounded as a result of artillery shelling from areas controlled by regime forces and the PYD militia. This shelling targeted residential neighborhoods and farmlands in the town of Al-Ghazawiya in the Afrin countryside, north of Aleppo.
These continuous attacks by the Assad regime and Russian forces are part of a systematic plan aimed at creating instability in northwestern Syria. The objective is to create a sense of terror and panic among the local population.
