The Syrian Network for Human Rights said that nearly 730 people from the city of Homs have forcibly disappeared after agreeing to truce offered by the Assad regime to “settle their status.” The Network said that the Assad regime signed two truces with the trapped people in the city’s old quarters, the first one included evacuating the children and civilians who did not participate in the revolutionary or relief work, while according to the other truce fighters and peaceful activists can be released after the Assad regime settle their status. While civilians were released in line with the truce, the fate of the 730 rebel fighters and activists is still unknown. The report says that three of those rebel fighters died under torture in Assad’s jails. (Source: Syrian Coalition + Smart News)
