Activists said that 34 civilians were killed in barrel bomb attacks on rebel-held districts of Aleppo since yesterday, while the Syrian Institute of Justice said that 296 civilians were killed in Aleppo and its countryside during July. Assad’s air force dropped 405 barrel bombs on the rebel-held areas, in addition to 285 air-to-ground missiles and 17 cluster bombs. The victims include 86 children, 45 women, three journalists and two paramedics during the performance of their duty in rescuing the victims. A number of pro-Assad militants were killed during clashes with rebels in southern Aleppo and in the town of Maniyan, while they captured the Military Security building in Dahyet al-Assad.
