Abu Kamal local council said that around 400 families fled the town as a result of the clashes that broke out between rebels and ISIS militants. It also said that electricity has been cut off and that the bakeries has stopped working due to the lack of flour. The two main hospitals have also been closed down, so casualties are now being taken to nearby towns. Activists said that talks between rebels and ISIS to share control over the town have failed, to be followed by violent clashes resulted in ISIS’s takeover of the town.
