Islamic Battalions Make Gains in Aleppo

Fighters of the Islamic battalions captured Akrab and Souq al Jabas near the Military Academy in the neighborhood of Al Rashidin in Aleppo, alongside aerial shelling on the area. Activists said that 38 pro-regime soldiers were killed and five were taken prisoners during the clashes in the area. Rebels also clashed with regime forces the neighborhood of Iza’a, Saif al Dawla, Al Ramouseh and America in Aleppo. Activists said that Liwa al-Tawhid prevented media activists from entering the areas under its control in Aleppo without prior permission. Assad’s warplanes launched barrel bomb attacks on the towns of Daret Azza, Haritan and of Tal Htabat, killing a whole family and injuring dozens. (Source: Syrian Coalition + LCC)
