Al Swaidiaa’ Tribes Brigade said yesterday that it joined the Lajat Tribes Brigade commanded by Captain Talal Awad Khalaf. They said that the merger aims to “close the ranks and to avoid sedition and bloodshed.” The merger comes a day after the formation of the “Lajat Tribes Council” that aims to unify all rebel tribal fighters under one umbrella. Meanwhile, regime forces carried out barrel bomb attacks on the towns of Al Hirak and western Musaiqa, alongside artillery bombardment on the town Atman in western rural Dara’a. Rebel fighters targeted the regime’s strongholds in the town of Bosra with mortar shells, alongside violent clashes on the outskirts of the Manshia district. (Source: Sham News + Smart News + LCC)
