Rebels blow up the Sahaba checkpoint near Maaret al-Nouman by tunnel under the checkpoint and planting 40 tons of explosives, killing 35 pro-Assad militants. Rebels said that the 290-meter tunnel took them 50 days to dig. The checkpoint is considered the northwestern gate of Wadi al-Daif military base. A car bomb exploded today in front of Shifa Hospital in Saraqeb in rural Idlib, causing dozens of injuries, some in critical condition. Regime forces carried out heavy artillery shelling on Maaret al-Nouman and Abu Al Duhur, causing civilian casualties and material damage. (Source: Syrian Coalition + LCC)
