Activists said that 16 civilians were killed and dozens wounded in a barrel bomb attack on the town of Talbeesah north of Homs, while rebels targeted regime positions in Al Zahira and Al Arman. Regime forces shelled Al Waer district with and heavy machine guns despite the announcement of a truce months ago in the district. Five civilians, including 3 children, were killed in artillery shelling on the town of Treimsa in rural Hama, while activists said that mass demonstrations were staged in the town of Muharda demanding that regime forces pull out of the town. The demonstrations followed the rebels’ targeting of regime positions on the outskirts of the town with more than 40 artillery shells and 12 Grad rockets, killing the officer in charge of the army base in Deir Muharda along with a number of pro-regime militants. Regime forces conducted more than 20 air raids on the towns of Kafr Zeitam Morek and Lattaminah. (Source: Syrian Coalition + Agencies)
