Syrian Activists Launch “Save Aleppo” Campaign

Syrian activists launched “#SaveAleppo” campaign on social networks and demanded that the international community stop the massacres committed by regime forces against civilians. The hashtag went viral in the past two days on Facebook and Twitter. The campaign comes in response to the recently launched “SaveKessab” campaign and after the death of more than 30 civilians in the neighborhood of Sha’ar of Aleppo yesterday by barrel bombs. Regime forces carried out barrel bomb attacks on Al Leramoun, Kafr Hamra, Haritan, Deir Hafer, Rasm Abboud and Orm al-Qubra, while violent clashes broke out in Subhayya, Salihyya, Tal Nuam near the town of Safeera.
