Activists said that seven civilians were killed and many others wounded in an air raid on the town of Hawija in rural Deir Ezzor. The Syrian Coalition warned that the Assad regime would exploit the UN Security Council resolution No. 2170 as an excuse to bomb civilian targets in the ISIS-held areas in the provinces of Deir Ezzor, Raqqa and Aleppo. Regime forces has intensified indiscriminate aerial shelling on these provinces, launching more than 100 air raids in one week. The air raids targeted mainly residential areas and claimed the lives of dozens of civilians. Meanwhile, the Siyasya Bridge in Deir Ezzor collapsed as a result of the violent shelling on the city. The collapse of the bridge will have serious consequences as it is the sole land lifeline for the city. (Source: Syrian Coalition Network + Sham News)
